Peterson Lucky - I'm Ready / 2LP

Blues guitarist, keyboardist and singer Lucky Peterson, who died in 2020, was more than ready to take the world stage when he recorded "I'm Ready," his stunning debut album for Verve Records in 1992. Peterson shone here with original songs in which he spiced up the blues with elements of soul, funk, jazz, R&B and a rich dose of rock. He also presented rousing versions of a Howlin' Wolf classic as well as two pieces by his mentor Willie Dixon, who had once taken him under his wing when he was still a five-year-old prodigy.

This double LP is released in a single sleeve on 140g pressing from Optimal.
